Homebrew Vespuzen (Waspfolk) Species Details
Vespuzen, a race of humanoid Waspfolk, are Wanderers and social nest creatures. They tend to live by their selves or in large underground hives referee to as City Nests
AGGRESSIVE HUNTERS
Vespuzen are inherently great at hunting wild creatures. The majority of their cities rely on social hunting tactics.
Vespuzen who don't live in City Nests often make sure to be quick to hunt and use their strongest poison immediately to quickly take out their prey on their first strike. Caution is usually not a concern for these Wasp humanoids when they become focused on a fight.
CITY NESTS
Vespuzen live one of two lives. Wanderers, or socialites in City Nests. These medium-to-large-sized societies serve royalty and work together to sustain the goals of their queen,
Vespuzen queens will often seek what will keep their people well-fed and living comfortable lives and things to keep their people active and to use their natural born aggression. In some cases, if the queen lacks self control, they will seek grander goals for her people such as war, conquest, raiding or just excessive over-hunting
ABYSSAL ROOTS
It is often unknown to most that these people even speak or understand Abyssal but they seem to have an inherent knowledge of the languages of the fiends. There is uncertainty on the reason for this, but having demonic origins seems to coincide with their antagonistic habits and self focused mentalities, caring more for their own race than others and caring more for their baser desires Some theories on where the Vespuzen picked up this demonic blood include the possibility of being a distant line of tiefings to an unknown powerful demon or being a humanoid yugoloth created with an extremely tampered presence of their fiendish origin. There are other thoughts on their origin, but these two stand out as the most common ament researchers all of this side, these roots seem to bother the Wasp Folk very little and tend to be of very little concern to them.
