Devatrian Origins

Creation and History

Devatrians are ancient celestial entities originating from realms that existed long before the creation of Ruha. Adhina, once a charismatic deity among his peers, committed a primal sin that led to his exile. Ashiinen, choosing loyalty over judgment, accompanied him as friend and guardian. Together, they created the Devatrians, celestial beings who travelled with them across the cosmos until Adhina, at the universe's edge, conjured Ruha into existence. Only a few Devatrians ventured into the new Ruhardian realms, acting on divine missions or serving as ambassadors. These beings are exceptionally rare, with only two known to have set foot on Ruha's mortal planes. The first generation of Devatrians flew across the cosmos to establish their place among the celestial planes, and now their culture has born many new generations. Resident to Devatria, most Devatrians no longer possess the ability of planar travel, an art lost to their content living in the realms created by Adhina.

Physical Characteristics

Devatrians are often tall, possessing an aura of authority. Their skin appears luminescent, giving off a subtle light, and the eyes of a Devatrian are formed of the nebulae they flew through during their descent to Ruha. Devatrian culture weaves elegance with material creations, as many spend their childhood learning to be silversmiths and jewellery crafters due to the many customs Devatrians have. Often, a devatrian's hair is adorned with elaborate jewellery, which functions both decoratively and symbolically in relation to their celestial culture. Devatrians have robust, feathered wings that extend from their backs, which once permitted cosmic travel, but this art has been lost to time and complacency.

Devatrian couturiers produce clothing that resembles ornate robes with intricate designs, reflecting the self-imposed pride Devatrians possess regarding their high importance. Devatrian robes appear durable and lightweight, making them a desired commodity among the ruhardian people.

Additional Personality Traits

Devatrians' existence is shaped by celestial decree and personal evolution. Their roles in the cosmic play vary enormously—from divine emissaries to silent watchers of the unfolding universe. Their presence in Ruha is a rare blessing, seen by few and known by even fewer, making every encounter with them meaningful. As a Devatrian, your life has been led to the point where you are walking on mortal soil. Choose one trait from either table to add to your character's personality.

Fallen:

1	Wavering Loyalty. You never knew if what you were doing was making a difference, which made you wonder if your previous god was truly doing what was best.
2	Abandonment. You left on your own accord, but your previous god did not like that. Causing them to hunt you down and mark you as a fallen person.
3	Greed. You wanted more power, and you weren't gonna stop until you got it. Your previous god saw this as an unholy sign and banished you.
4	Vicious Brutality. You fought for your previous god; in fact, you were trusted. Until you fought in such a manner that it was unholy. Despite the win, you and others in your company were banished for this unholy way of fighting.
5	Plane Hopper. You moved from plane to plane in your free time, which caused you to develop relations with people from other planes and ultimately caused you to form some opinions that your previous god deemed sinful.

Risen:

1	Unwavering Loyalty. You were always loyal to Adhina and Ashiinen; when they were incarcerated, you followed them through the void to where you are now. Even now, you carry out the tasks they ask of you.
2	Fallen Allies. In the celestial realm, your close friend or loved one has been deemed a traitor and executed in front of you. You swear you will take the right path to do the right thing.
3	Lost Purpose. You feel like you no longer have a purpose in life and that your previous god never asked much of you. You crave purpose, and Ashina or Ashiinen promised you that.
4	Defy Weakness. You want to help those who are less fortunate and stronger than you. You will do whatever is in your power to help those in need, and Adhina encourages that of you.
5	Universal Balance. You feel like you need to act as an equaliser to the good and the bad in Ruha, and Ashiinen acknowledges that trait about you.
