Homebrew Yordle Species Details
Yordles are the most common race in Runeterra next to humans. They originate from a mystical little speck in Ionia called Bandle City.
Yordle Traits
As a Yordle you have access to the following racial traits.Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Age
Yordles age and mature at a rate much different to Humans. Yordles reach adulthood after roughly 15 years and can live for up to 100 times that amount. Yordles' absurldy long lifespan is suspected to be directly tied to their deep connection to the very foundation of the magic that forged Runeterra. Though the extend of their lifespan has still not fully been discovered, it is believed that they could potentially life forever.
Alignment
Yordles are most often good. Some that leave their home in Ionia end up tending towards evil alignements, as the current state of the world around them changes their outlook on things. Their naturally born thirst for advventure and disconnection from mainland law, leads to many Yordles being chaotic.
Size
Yordles are between 3 and 4 feet tall and average about 40 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Languages
Yordles do not have their own language, however many of their kind often leave their home to travell across the world of Runeterra, bringing back captivating stories, along with a multitude of foreign accents. You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice.
Darkvision
Your fairy-like ancestry leaves with the ability to see in the infrared spectrum, allowing you to still clearly discern shapes and movement even in dark lighting conditions.. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Hearing
Your long sensitive ears make your hearing much better than that of most other creatures. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks that involve hearing.
Fey
You retain the humanoid creature type, yet you register as fey to spells and other effects that detect the presence of the fey creature type.
