Bothans are furry mammalian anthropoids. Hailing from Bothawui and several colonies, Bothans differed in facial appearance and body structure with canine, feline, and equine features. They are known for being master politicians and spies, craving intrigue and subterfuge.
Bothan Traits
Bothans live their whole lives trying to increase their influence and as such gain the following traits:Ability Score Increase.
Your Charisma score is increased by 2 and your Intelligence score is increased by 1.
Age
Bothans mature at the same rate as a normal human, and have similar lifespans.
Alignment.
Bothans have remained neutral throughout numerous conflicts and tend towards Neutral alignments. Many Bothans are honourable people and may have a Light alignment, however most preserve their neutrality holding a Gray alignment.
Keen Senses.
Your natural senses are heightened. When you make a Wisdom (Perception) check to find a hidden object or person, you are considered proficient in the Perception skill, and add double your proficiency bonus to the skill instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
Political influence.
Above all else you aspire to be politically influential. You have proficiency in the Persuasion skill.
Master Spies
Bothans are talented at espionage and subterfuge. You have proficiency in the Deception skill.
Languages
You can speak, read and write Basic and Bothese.
