Homebrew Two Kids in a Trench Coat Species Details
Two Kids in a Trench Coat, despite the name, refers to any set of children who stack on each other’s shoulders with adult clothing over it, regardless of if that clothing is a trench coat.
Not Fooling Anybody
Very rarely do people actually mistake these for adult humanoids, due to their unbalanced walking and clearly childlike faces. However, people are usually so charmed that someone would actually do this in real life that they don’t bring it up. Those who are fooled probably wouldn’t have noticed they were a child, anyways. Expect them to talk about things like how they do taxes, and their very real jobs.
Two Kids in a Trench Coat Names and Types
There are three main types of Two Kids in a Trench Coat, distinguished by what they aim to accomplish.
Buyers
Buyers have attempted this gambit because they want to purchase something that is forbidden to children. This is a pretty brief interaction usually, so expect names to be simple and possibly based on what the upper-kid has seen around the room. John Tableman, Tom Lampson, etc.
Viewers
Viewers are attempting to see a piece of media that is forbidden to children. This has to be planned out more than Buyers, so expect names to sound more like real names of the culture of the children.
Tricksters
Tricksters have done this just to cause chaos, or for entertainment. What they claim their name is might change frequently, and/or be pretty nonsensical.
