Homebrew Ydian Man-of-Arms Species Details
The Man-of-Arms is the result of 4 years of work in the Ydian Imperial Armory. This experiment was performed to ease the stress of warfare on the lives of citizens, by creating soldiers of metal and steam. The metal husks were given life by willing volunteers, whose consciousness was magically placed within them.
The consciousness of the volunteer has been unchanged in the transfer, and they will retain their emotions and memories, like any person of flesh and blood.
Although slow and somewhat lumbering, Men-of-Arms are incredibly strong and resistant to damage; and the Armory has assured that upgrades will become available as they get accustomed to their new body. (Leveling will occasionally grant a choice of upgrade.) To receive this upgrade they must visit an Elite Enginseer at an Ydian Armory or Workshop.
As was the goal of the experiment, a destroyed body does not mean death. Should the consciousness arrive at an Ydian Armory or Workshop in time (within 2 days) they will be given a new body.
A valuable chunk of Blustone is what powers the Man-of-Arms, and it is sealed within their abdominal cavity. Should this be destroyed the body will be inoperable.
