Homebrew Darkened Shadowswyft Species Details

The Shadowswyft are a planetouched race, much like Tieflings, Genasi or Aasimar. They are descended from the creatures that inhabit the dark expanses of the Shadowfell. Torn between their dark and their mortal heritage, these people struggle to find their place in society. Shadowfell creatures often find them irritating, as they are capable of displaying stronger emotions than those over whom the Shadowfell has more of an effect, due to their mortal parents, but mortals also struggle to come to terms with Shadowswyft's apparent apathy. Most Shadowswyft decide to commit fully to one side of their heritage, either letting the Shadowfell numb them or learning how to live within society on the Material Plane. Shadowswyft often stand out through their almost translucent alabaster skin and their eyes and hair which seem to soak up light and release shady wisps or a colour scheme that is the polar opposite, bearing ebony skin and stark white hair.
