Homebrew Wood Elf (Bosmer) Species Details

We have nothing wrong with civilisation, however no matter how hard we may ignore it, we are always called back to the trees of our forests. It is not a life that suits everyone, but for us it's the only life we know.

-Quote from as Bosmer Hunter

Forest Dwelling Elves

Unlike their more civilised cousins, Bosmer prefer the simpler living out in the wilderness, choosing to settle the coasts and forests of Valenwood. As a result, they have no cities or towns of any sort, choosing to live in timber clanhouses at sites scattered along the coast and through the interior, connected only by undeveloped foot trails. Because many Bosmer lack the taste for political pursuits, many have an exceptional talent as hunters while other, more devious folk have a penchant for thievery.

Short and Nimble

The Bosmer are one of the smallest races in Tamriel with males being smaller than females. They are born with skin colors ranging from light brown to pale tan to light green. Some Bosmer also may have horns. Biologically, the Bosmer are cousins of the Dunmer, Orsimer, and the Altmer. The Wood Elves lineage is less noble than that of the Altmer, but they have adapted well to Tamriel. After the Ayleids fled mainland Cyrodiil, they joined the Bosmer in seclusion, eventually being totally assimilated by the Bosmer. This probably significantly affected biology of modern-day Bosmer.
