Homebrew Aarakocra (Phoenix) Species Details

This is an Aarakocra of immense power over fire, due to it being part phoenix, rather than eagle.

Aarakocra (Phoenix) Traits

This creature's humanoid form, massive wings, and immense power over fire grant it fantastic abilities.

Innate Pyromancy

You can innately cast the following spells at first level once per day. You regain the ability to do so at sunrise and can only cast them while the sun is up.

 

Light, Dancing Lights, Sacred Flame, Fire Bolt, Faerie Fire, Searing Smite, Burning Hands, Hellish Rebuke.

Flaming Skin

Your feathers are bursting with flaming energy. Whenever someone touches your feathers they take 1d4 fire damage.

Ability Score Increase

You gain a plus 2 to Dex and a plus 1 to Strength

Flight

You have a flying speed of 35 ft.

Phoenixes Rebirth

If you die at all in any way or are nocked unconscious you instead drop to zero HP. You can only use this ability once per week.
