Homebrew Dhampyr Species Details

The sons and daughters of a human and a vampire, these creatures never truly know what is is to be alive, nor do they know what death truly feels like, try as they might. As scions of undeath, many are born appearing no different than a normal human baby, if not a little pale. Their differences become more apparent as they grow older, their canines becoming more pronounced and they generally begin to identify their desire to drink blood.

A dhampyr is not forced to drink blood to survive unlike their vampiric parent. They can drink and eat the same as a normal human. However, once they taste blood, they struggle to eat human foods as it begins to taste faintly of ash to them, or can cause mild stomach aches.
