Homebrew Anicarian Species Details

The Anicarian's are an ancient race of humanoids born from the lifeblood of the world that is in everything called the Anima. Knowledge of these 'Angels of the Anima' is scarce and even scholars that study the Anicarians find inconsistencies in their notes when comparing with others and arguments often break out, however there is some information forming from patterns that scholars have found. Anicarians appear to be very similar to humans in looks except they seem to exclusively have a petite female figure, incredibly fair skinned, very colourful hair and have between two to six wings. This is all that is known as public knowledge

The Anicarians used to have their own civilisations, manipulating the Anima to create magic-like effects without the use of a deity or the weave. Watching over the world and the beauty it provides gives an Anicarian great joy and it is not uncommon for one to spend days staring at a beautiful landscape they came across, similarly it brings great pain to see unnatural destruction to the world and instead of sadness they feel tremendous rage. It is worth noting that only unnatural destruction brings on these feelings, and Anicarian will happily and joyfully watch a lightning storm set fire to a forest and watch it as to an Anicarian this isn't destruction, this is just a natural change.

As the first intelligent humanoid race they are often referred to as the ancestors of humans, or the first edition of the human race but this is incorrect. When the gods first created the first races they used the Anicarians as inspiration and a template to create humans, elves, dwarves etc. so in reality while they look incredibly similar to humans, humans are closer to dwarves then they are to an Anicarian.

Anicarians don't use the weave or diety power to cast spells, instead they manipulate the Anima that flows through everything in the world. This means that on planets with strong elemental connections their magic is stronger but in void dimensions or space their magic is essentially nullified, this also has the effect of making the Anicarian fell incredibly weak and sick.

Anima-Sense

using the Anima an Anicarian can detect anything that the anima flows through within 15 feet, this includes non-worked stone and wood. This ability stops being active when in a void or space with no Anima.

Ability Score Increase

As a race created from natures energy, Anicarians have a racial +2 wisdom and +1 constitution bonus.

Language

By default you know Common and Primordial.

Life From The Anima

While they can, Anicarians don't need to eat or drink to sustain themselves, they still need to breath. However when in a void or in space, with no access to the Anima they get very sick and eventually die in 3 days.
