Homebrew Chiroptera Species Details
Deep in the tunnels of the Underdark, far from the reaches of the Drow and Illithid civilizations, a strange people have survived. The chiroptera are a bat-like race of humanoids, who have survived in the harsh environment of their subterranean home using their natural flight and echolocation to flee from enemies while simultaneously making strong allies with other small powers of the Underdark, such as the Deep Gnomes. One of the few races of the Underdark with a strong inclination towards good, chiropteras make fast friends wherever they go, and remember those connections for the rest of their particularly long lives.
Chiroptera Traits

Your Dexterity score increases by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 2.
Size
Chiroptera stand a little more or less than 5 feet tall on average, and weigh between 75 and 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Age
Chiroptera mature at a peculiar rate, being capable of flight and following their colony to feed at around 2 months, and reach maturity when they reach 10 years old, and usually can live to be around 400 years old, which they consider to be a blessing from their God, Klikar, who they say led their people to the safe tunnels of the Underdark.
Alignment
Chiropteras are more likely to be good or neutral than evil, but are equally disposed towards law or chaos. Lawful Chiroptera usually make strong bonds with their colony, and are inclined towards leadership in their community, whereas chaotic individuals often prefer to explore and meet new peoples.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, and Undercommon.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Adaptive Skirmishers
You have flying and climbing speeds of 30 feet. To use these speeds, you can’t be wearing heavy armor or wielding a weapon with the heavy or two-handed properties.
Echolocating Perception
Chiroptera have echolocation abilities that are similar to their smaller cousins'. You have blindsight to a range of 30 feet, and advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing. However, you cannot use your blindsight while deafened.
