Homebrew Accipiter Species Details

Long ago, the Accepter ruled the skies, their overpowering numbers dominating over others. But when the humans, Dwarfs, and Elves banded together and launched a mass-scale attack against them, the Accepter fell. Only a handful of the Accepter survived the massacre. Those few hid in the wild, far from humanity. 

Accipiter Traits

Your Accepter has the following traits:

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your strength score by 1.

Age

The average lifespan of an Accipiter is 100 years, and they reach adulthood at 20.

Alignment

Accipiter love freedom, and often will be good. 

Dark-vision

You can see in the dark within 60 feet of you as if you were in dim light, and in dim light you can see as if you were in bright light.

Wings

You have a flying speed of 35 feet.

Aerial Combat

You can attack from the air with any weapon that is light, thrown, or Ammunition. Enemies can only attack you with ranged attacks while you are in the air, though if you choose to attack them with a melee attack, they can hit you with a melee attack too (while you are low to the ground). You cannot cast spells while in the air. 

Thunder's Blessing

Due to living in the skies, the Accipiter learn to harness the energy within them, allowing them to channel it through there hands.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one language of your choice.
