Homebrew Wiggler Species Details

"So you picked your class, hold onto your ass, it's gonna get crass, 'cause race - part of the role you can play, some sentient clay, a he, she or they, a beast who gets real snarly, and a regular dude named Charley, if homebrew's free, a big talking tree, welcome to A Crap Guide to D&D"

Wigglers are a proud race, the offspring of Great Wigglers, large, dragon-like beasts, and a humanoid. The sheer power contained within a Wiggler is usually expressed in an urge to smash, burn, or otherwise destroy things when they get passionate. Wigglers tend to mingle with other races freely, and aren't usually found in communities of other Wigglers. Being an extremely rare, exotic race, Wigglers hold a lot of pride for themselves, and don't often own up to their mistakes, instead pretending that the mishap was intentional, so as to save face. Wiggler culture is one of brutal honesty, and putting down others to make themselves seem superior. Wigglers aren't necessarily malevolent, and can be friendly and loyal to those they trust. Many Wigglers take to adventuring as a way to channel their rage, or because they desire the fame and attention that comes with being a hero.

Exotic and Wiggly

Wigglers have brightly colored skin, usually blue or green, and towering necks with colorful patterns in their skin ending in frills along the back of their heads. Wigglers stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and usually weigh between 150 and 230 pounds.

Wigglers have spots going along the sides of their neck, and have colorful snake-like heads with little marks along their wide mouths, giving the impression of stitches. The base of their neck abruptly leads into a humanoid body, like that of a human or an elf's. Their head constantly bobs back and forth, in a slow wiggling motion, and any bit of movement is heavily exaggerated by the swinging of their neck.

Charismatic and Foreign

Wigglers integrate themselves into any kind of society, and usually manage to be accepted into any racial group or clan. Wigglers never seem to be viewed as outsiders or strangers, despite their strange appearance. Wigglers tend to work their way to the top of the political hierarchy wherever they are. Wigglers enjoy being the "right hand man", or second in command, but never the leader, so as to not have to tale full responsibility if something goes wrong.

Wiggler Names

Wigglers are proud of their cultural heritage, and often mash the beginning of a name, the end of another name together to reflect mixing and matching of their own bodies.

Male Wiggler Names: RyThan, MarOn, JoCrap, NatRemy, TyVan

Female Wiggler Names: JuLiza, MarElla, KatLia, TaMary, LaVia, MaRiel

While most races tend enjoy or at least tolerate the company off a Wiggler, Wigglers themselves usually dislike creatures and races that they find weak, or small. Gnomes, Dwarves, and Half-lings are considered to not truly be worthy of thier time, and that at best they are good target practice.

Think With Your Fists

When an attack or effect requires you to make a Wisdom or Intelligence saving throw, you can choose to make a Strength or Constitution saving throw instead.
