Ambitious & Bureaucratic

No matter how ambitious the goal anything is possible, anything can be achieved, as long as you are devoted to your convictions. This believe is commonly shared across all Aurelians and derives from the first Aurelian emperor, who forged his empire from the farmlands he owned. Whenever someone talks down on someone’s ambitions, people usually respond with the phrase “a farmer, to be emperor”, as a reminder to what a single man can achieve.

While this confidence is nurtured through the Aurelian culture, is a great strength, it is also one of their pitfalls. Most Aurelians see others suffering as a persons inability to take action, which make them very harsh at times, also making them blind to others suffering. The second pitfall, if an Aurelian is in their element, their confidence can be seen as arrogance.

Besides being determined and confident Aurelians are also very structured. A trait which is put to great use within the empire. The Aurelian Empire is organized and held together by its many systems and organizations, which organize even the most mundane tasks, making for large piles of paperwork and archives the size of small cities.

From the age of 14 until their 16th birthday Aurelian children are enrolled into the Junior War Academy, as the empire does not only value hard work and craftsmanship but also art of war. Every Aurelian should know the fundamentals of warfare and how to carry them self on battlefield.

Aurelian's are known for their incredible craftsmanship and their drive to ever improve their skills and abilities of their chosen trade. Some Aurelian's might focus on a single profession, such as carpenter or cook. While others might choose a wider suite of skills to complement their main vocation. This is why many soldiers know their way around smith's tools or even navigator's tools. Whatever you'll choose, will signify your focus in life and your willingness to improve.

The side which would see them thrive in their ambition, or the one which would help lift their community to greater heights. For a farmer could become emperor, however no emperor could sustain an empire without farmers.
