Homebrew Cursed Demon Species Details

Origin

As Demons are one of the stronger beings, the nation cursed them all for eternity. The few Cursed Demons left are lone wanderers, pushed away from society and feared by many. The curse causes them to transform back into a younger version of themselves when not engaged within a fight or transformed. Cursed Demons are slightly taller as the average human ranging from 6'2 (1.88 m) to 6'6 (ca. 2 m) and their skin is slightly darker emitting a dangerous aura. The eye color changes as they grow up and can vary, when fully grown up they often have golden or silver eyes with a sharp look to them. Cursed Demon's features are average to slender bodies giving them a good statue to move around fairly quickly. Black demon wings protrude from their back. This allows for fast aerial movement to cast magic from a save distance but also lets them go in close up to engage. They have long, dark and slightly colored hair, traditionally made into a long braid to not interfere in combat, they also have little horns covered in hair, making them look like ears. These demons live around 900 to 1200 years and are grown up with the age of 250-280. Their cursed form, their younger self makes them weak to surprise attacks as transforming is not instant. Their cursed appearance is exactly how they were with the age of 100. Their 100-year-old form does not have wings, and they do not emit a dark aura, giving them a rather cute appearance.

Combat

As a highly reduced in numbers race, their warrior status is still apparent. They are feared in a combat situation as they use dark magic on longer ranges but also engage with a summoned scythe for close up. Besides their excellent ability to fly and be nimble, they do lack in defense once their magic has run out.

Adapting to the curse

Since Cursed Demons are not liked by many they started to use their magic to transform themselves to look and sound like another person this makes people always question if they can trust anyone as they could talk to a demon at this very moment.

Nature

Demons have a very narcissistic nature, they mostly act on their own behalf and don't mind using people for their own good. Trusting a Cursed Demon is something dangerous, but even a demon does need a friend to talk to, if you manage to truly befriend a Cursed Demon, they will try to protect you but if the situation is really on the edge, they will resign to keeping their race alive and save themself.
