Homebrew Bear- blood Species Details
His mother stood before him, towering over him in all her greatness. The fur on her face around her eyes and muzzle had grown faded and white, but Marth still looked as if she could take down a whole army of Were-bears. Her legion army battle armor was gone, replaced by blue-tinted liens with an black cooking apron. There was a scar across on her face, the mark of her last journey before she settled down. She had a sword at her hip, rusty and old, but the sharpest blade in the whole city, this sword is the one she had carried since the begging, since before she was even old enough to go on adventures.
For all his life, Be'Er had known that watching his mother’s daily routines was witnessing skills that she had learned over the years. Also that when she taught him what she thought was simple survival skills, he was actually learning the skills that would help him become a better adventure one day.
With the blood of a bear coursing through their bodies, the Bear-blood's walk quietly through towns keeping to themselves mostly, people still staring at them with fearful impressions. Gifted the attributes and intelligence of man by an ancient earth goddess, the Bear-bloods originally were simple bears, but by combining the best attributes of bears and humanoids formed this new race. Some Bear-bloods are faithful to the old ways of how bears once lived, still living in caves and not talking to any other races, that faction is called Brute Force. Others form the ranks of soldiers in the legion of Ursa Kingdom, and still others find themselves on a wandering path, with no clear calling in life yet.
Bear Kin
Bear-bloods look very much like bears standing erect in humanoid form, towering over the common man. Although they could do this as regular bears, through the gift of the ancient earth goddess this now their normal stance. The first Bear-bloods had long fur that covered their entire bodies to protect from harsh winters and enemies but now it is shorter and does not fully cover every inch of their bodies. Each Bear-bloods fur growth is different. Their are also fur color variations of brown, red, black, blue-black, gold, white and so on. However after several generations of interbreeding, crossbreeding, and selective trait breeding has created a more diverse appearances. They are often tall and strong, ranging in height from 2ft to close to 11 feet tall and weighing anywhere from 150 pounds to 2,200 pounds. Their arms, legs, hands and feet are strong, they have retractable claws with four fingers and an opposable thumb which was one of the gifts that the ancient earth goddess bestowed upon them.
Clans
In the start Bear-bloods often lived solidarity, only mothers and cubs lived in groups, but as time went on Bear-bloods became more social with each other and formed clans. Bear-blood's respect their clans, their rules and culture. Although some Bear-blood's still hold on to the ancient traditions of solidarity.
Bear-blood's value experience, skill, endurance and the willingness to try in all endeavors. They are curious in nature and pride themselves in learning new things. Although big, they know how to be stealthy, and when corned they can draw on immense strength to take down an opponent. Mother Bear-bloods still hold on to their ancient ways of maternal protection instinct and will fight any number of enemies to protect their young.
Bear-bloods are taught at at young age to be self-sufficient, although they do recognize that sometimes in tough situations help is needed. In the past other variations of Bear-bloods would only help the clan members within their variations. However now the clan will always come to the aid of another clan member no matter the differences.

Bear-blood have nicknames given at birth, and they have their clan names once they get a mark of honor. A nickname is used among their clan and their direct "den"mates as a term of endearment or way to describe them.

They begin walking in the den two months after birth, they attain the weight of a average 8-year-old human child by their 1st year of life, and can reach adult maturity by 18 months to 4 years of age. In ancient times before the creation of Bear-bloods, bears would live to 41 years of age. Now the oldest living Bear-blood ever recorded was at the age of 122 years.
Alignment
Bear-blood's make a choice for one side or the other in the ancient struggle between good and evil (represented by Artio, Artaois, and Berstuk, Fea respectively). Most Bear-bloods are good, but those who side with Berstuk or Fea can be terrible or ruthless villains.
Size
Bear-bloods can taller and much heavier than humans, they can stand from 2 feet to just about 11 feet tall and can weigh anywhere from 150 pounds to just about 2,200 pounds. Depending on our ancestry you size can range anywhere from small to overly large.

Your max running speed is 35 miles per hour. Your base walking speed is 1.7 miles per second.

Fear Roar
You can use your action to exhale a energy role. When you use your roar, each enemy creature in the area of the roar must make a saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 1d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 2d6 at 6th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 16th level. After you use your roar you can’t use it again until you complete a short rest.

Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Bearlic. You can communicate with other Animals and commune with nature. Bearlic is one of the ancient animal languages and is often used in the study of elemental magic. The language sounds like typical bear sounds to other races. Of course to Bear-bloods and those whom have learned Bearlic, differences in certain sounds can be understood. In many cases vocalizations are done along with some type of body posturing.
