Homebrew Bumbleblasts Species Details

Bumbleblasts are a race of humanoids with a tree like appearance. What separates them from other treelike humanoids is that they are living producers of magically infused honey. How you can tell them apart from other tree folk is that their lower jaw resembles the appearance of a beehive and is yellow in color, while the rest of their body is brown and has a bark like a tree. The bodies of bumbleblasts are a home to thousands of bees that live inside their bodies and produce honey. This relationship is based on coexistence. The bees supply the bumbleblasts with honey that the anatomy of a bumbleblasts body turns magical. And in return, the bees are provided with a mobile shelter. These peaceful people have had this partnership with bees as long as can be remembered. This race can only be found on the large island of Apiary. This heavily wooded island is home to a large variety of vegetation and wildlife. The tribal like society is ruled by the island chief, that has final say in all tribal matters. While the bumbleblasts are a peaceful people, they will fight with ferocity to protect their home, their people, and a friend in need. As with any race, the bumbleblasts have their fare number of adventurers who are legends throughout the islands’ history and lore. The healing property honey produced by their bodies is greatly sought after by those who know of its abilities. The honey is pooled and stored in the lower jaw of the bumbleblasts where it remains until it is “spat” out. Not the most sanitary method of distribution, but the taste is marvelous!
