Homebrew Zo-onna Mask Species Details

The Zo-onna Mask race is a traditional Japanese Noh mask that has come to life, taking the form of a stout woman. The woman commonly has pure black hair and porcelain skin, their entire body made of what closely resembles in touch and material, a mannequin's own body. For clothes, the women are dressed in brightly colored Kimonos, ranging from all the colors in the rainbow to neons if chosen.

Zo-onna Mask's cant move their fingers or toes but they can move their joints like elbows and knees, giving them the ability to walk and sign with their hands in a way.

The way a Zo-onna Mask fights is by casting spells passed down by the many generations of hidden Zo-onna Masks. And if a Zo-onna Mask "dies" or takes to many hits they will go into deep meditation and lose their humanoid form, and drop to their Noh mask face only. Forcing their group to carry them until they come out of long rest.

Hannya Mask

The Hannya Mask is a Traditional Japanese Noh Mask that has come to life, taking the form of a stout, genderless demon. They have a buzzcut head and bright red porcelain skin, with the same bodily traits as the Zo-onna mask. Instead of the traditional kimono accompanied by the mask, they wear a Martial Artist's robe tied with a beaming red band.

The Hannya Mask cannot move its fingers or toes either, only being able to walk and sign their hands with jointial movements.

The Hannya Mask casts spells to fight as well, and if they do "die" they follow suit with Zo-onna's death description.

Kitsune Mask

The Kitsune Mask is a Traditional Japanese Kitsune Mask that has come to life, taking the form of a stout, anthropomorphic, standing Kitsune. Unlike the porcelain Zo-onna and Hannya mask, the Kitsune Mask has coarse fur, sewn all together in a taxidermied, hollowed out inside.

The Kitsune Mask cant move their paws normally, only being able to bend joints in their knees and elbows, giving them the ability to walk.

The Kitsune Mask also fights with magic, casting spells just like the Hannya and Zo-onna. If the Kitsune Mask "dies" they follow suit by losing their humanoid form and dropping to their mask.
