Homebrew Blood Angel Species Details
Physical Description
A blood angel is exactly what it sounds like: an angel with blood-red or crimson wings. Some blood angels are known to have red skin and horns.
History
- The First Blood Angel
No one knows who gave birth to the first blood angel, but all remember his appearance. During a war between two neighboring countries, an angel-like being with blood red skin and wings and long black hair appeared and slaughtered all who attempted to fight him. Following the battle he disappeared, however, both sides of the fight agreed that he was a blood angel, less due to his skin and wing color, and more due to the bloodshed created by the fearsome existence.
- War
Blood angels are known to appear during wars and are heavily recognized as a sign that a battle is about to be won. Throughout history blood, angels tend to either decimate the enemy forces or appear last minute in a losing battle and heal all those injured.
Society
Blood angels are a rarity, so no specific society of blood angels exists, however they are known to join countries they believe in as warriors and medics.

Posted Sep 11, 2018I think you made this race a bit too overpowered.
To give a few examples, in the PHB there is only one race (subrace) which can get a +2 on two Ability Scores, the Mountain Dwarf, and it sacrifices a significant increase in hit points for that.
Your race also offers two resistances and one immunity on top of that, a feat only the Aasimar can get close with their two resistances.
Then there is the problem that your race is way too mobile. The Aasimar and Aarakocra are the only races with an innate flying ability, but are heavily limited by it. Your race doesn't have any of those limits and even benefits from the Wood Elf's unique high mobility.
I think you gave your race a bit too much of everything, without considering downing some of their other abilities.
As a footnote I want to mention the weird 47 and 21 numbers.

Posted Jan 8, 2019sup, I'm the creator of the original blood angel document on D&D wiki, and recently decided to revive it now that I actually know how D&D races work and balance, here's the document if you want to work in a draconic sub-race or something. https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LQGmhF1jeKKThjj7P1E as a fan of the race, give me your opinion on the revision!
Thanks!
