Homebrew Bound Demon Species Details
Hailing from the depths of hell itself, the Demon's power is restrained upon entering the mortal's plain, whereas before they reigned almighty over humans, now in order to attain a soul (Their main source of power), they must obtain it through fair trade, and just as it was foreseen, this law was exploited for all it was worth, and the Demon's reputation shifted, from ungodly beasts, to the deceptive and charismatic conman they are depicted as in modern times.
Their exploitation of the mortal law is all in favor to their charisma, knowing the ups and downs of the art of trade, making them vicious competitors. they remain largely anonymous due to their reputation (Rather, their lack thereof), only adding to their shady background.
Bound Demon Traits
Among the mortals, the Demon's strength is restrained, but they exploit every loophole available, bringing with them Hell's fury.Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Age
The Demon's lifespan ranges from the beginning of life all the way to the end of it. However if their life is to be measured by the length of their visit, it often lasts from 100-500 years, not unlike their Angel counterparts.
Alignment
The Demon's background only cements their position in the Chaotic, Evil category. However, It's not impossible to cross paths with a Neutral, Evil; or maybe a Chaotic, Neutral. again mirroring the Angels affiliation with Lawful, Good Nature.
Size
The Bound Demon's size often parallels humans, ranging from 5-6 feet in height, however, this only applies to their Bound form. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
The Art of the Trade
The Bound Demon's abilities are heavily focused on their ability to swindle mortals out of their very souls, As a Bound Demon, you have proficiency in; Insight, Deception, and Persuasion. and have an immunity to being charmed.
Prey
Anytime a soul is attained, it is soon after consumed. The consumption of a mortal soul has a plethora of benefits to a Demon. A soul can be exchanged for either; 1 levels worth of Exp, or anything else your DM deems fair.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Deep Speech.

Posted Aug 4, 2018After finishing the Bound Angel i of course had to make It's counterpart, this was used in a campaign i took part in recently, and again saw massive potential for roleplay, and after seeing that nobody had made one i had to make it.

Posted Dec 27, 2018Just a friendly suggestion Demons usually speak read and write in abyssal so I would recommend that you put than in instead of Deep Speech. And also Deep speech doesn't have a written alphabet.

Posted Jan 10, 2019Thanks! I likely won't be making any changes to this race however, this was a simple port made from a campaign i took part in awhile back that occurred outside of the D&D Universe (It was a Wolfenstien campaign) and had more to do with Christianity.
