Twisted Horns

A creature as tall and formidable as an azerak is bound to turn some heads. The typical azerak can range from 6 to 8 feet in height and 250 to 300 pounds. They all have four horns atop their heads, shaped similar to gazelles and antelopes. Their skin ranges in color from green, to blue to red, but in much more muted tones. Eye colors also range from green to red to yellow, pupils similar in shape to reptiles. There is not much distinction between male and females, the female having shorter horns. Azeraks reach maturity by their mid teens and live about the same as humans, should they not fall in battle.

 

Blood of the Warrior

The culture of the Azerak is based heavily around fighting and war. It is an honor to fight for their tribes, to protect it. They often live in small settlements they build by hand and will defend bloodily. Young ones, as soon as they can walk, are taught in the ways of fighting. The women carry swords along with their young.

Above the fight, however, are the oaths they hold themselves too. An oath may vary from tribe to tribe, but there is always a base from which it starts. The base being do not betray your fellow in war. Those who do are banished from the tribe, stripped of everything they’ve ever known and become a black mark on the tribe’s history.

Azeraks have a first name, a family name and a blood name. A blood name is a name the azerak child will learn when it comes to them at a young age, perhaps in a dream or a whisper that came from nowhere. This name is not to be shared with anyone except those who have close personal bonds such as family, partners and close friends.

Azerak grow at a rate similar to humans. Though they reach maturity by their mid teens. They live to the age of 100 years should they not fall in battle.

Your naturally hardened skin grants you a +2 to your armor class.

Warrior's Strength

You have advantage on strength saving throws.

Heavy Weapon

You have proficiency with heavy weapons such as the glaive, the greataxe, the greatsword, the halberd, the maul and the pike.

You can speak, read, and write Common and Azerak. Azerak is an offshoot of the Draconic language, harsh and guttural.
