Homebrew Uncursed Vampire Species Details
Most people view vampires as the spawn of darkness, monsters to destroy or bring to justice. This is mostly true, due to the curse of vampirism. However, it is not common knowledge that the first vampire was the demigod child of a dark god. Though mortal
themself, their bite was cursed and allowed them to create the dark vampires of immortality and disdain. The dark one procreate more of their horrid offspring, and it is unknown what happened to them since, save that some must have found love and made families of their own with humans, as only they are capable of breeding.
Though they can often be mistaken for their cursed brethren, a descendant is unaffected by the light of the sun, nor are they immortal. Aging is slowed, but a vampire can die of old age, though it may be hundreds of years before reaching that point. Even though accepted into society, the mortal vampires are not fully trusted by almost all other races, and so they try to keep to themselves as much as they can. However, some do have an adventurous streak and so they venture forth to make their mark on destiny.
