Homebrew Webling Species Details

 Scarred by Lolth but not Driders...  These Creatures have Arachnid like features. 

These evolved Drow have strayed from Lolth's path. These creatures have evolved to their natural surroundings in the Underdark. They can result from natural selection or threw relations with a drider and another humanoid race. 

 

Webling Culture

Most webling societies are small and nomadic, the ruler of these settlements are normally the oldest or the wisest. Few permanent webling settlements exists. Weblings that live in the settlements mutually despise drow and drow culture. Weblings tend to worship Eilistraee and renounce Lolth, because of thier goddesses teachings most weblings tend to live good aligned lives.

 

Arachnid Bloodline

Weblings descend from drow. Most weblings are direct decedents from drow. As a result of their ancestors, they apear for the most part to be drow like creatures. The main physical tie to drow are their skin color and features. Weblings tend to have very dark skin and thier parents pointy ears, sometimes reaching a pure charcoal black. Others have a range of dark grey colors, verging on dark bluish hues. You’ll also often see weblings depicted with dark purple or even close to lilac skin tones.

Unlike drow, webling's canines apear to be more fang like, weblings can also have small sections of a hair like material. thier eyes are most commonly a bright red but can be many different colors. Webling's hair is most commonly a very bright color much like drow, their hair can on rarer ocasions it can be completely black.  

 

Webling Names

Most webling names are short and simple, if not they are simplified versions of drow names or tool names. Weblings typically do not have surnames if ithey do it will be "son/daughter of..." 

 

 

Webling Traits

Ability Score Increase

 Your ability scores each increase by 1.

Age

Weblings age similarly to humans. Although they reach adulthood around their early 20's and can live up too 200 years old

Alignment

Weblings tend toward the Chaotic alignment. 

Size

Humans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet. When crawling you can move up to 60 feet.

Dark Vision

Your archnid like features give you nightvision

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Humans typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with, including obscure dialects. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.

Webs

Your arachnid bloodline allows you to weave webs.

Webling Limbs

As an action you can  extrude up to four extra limbs where it be legs or arms. When crawling on these limbs you can stick to surfaces as if you where affected by "spider climb"
