Homebrew Crystalyn Species Details

Crystalyn are nobles that have infused powerful crystals in themselves. With many years of evolution they are naturally born with crystals with magical properties. They can uses these crystal's to harden their skin to boost in defense or use the magic stored in them to counter attack. Color of the crystals do not determinate the element of the attack. A ruby could wield a red lightening and so on. This is used to throw off enemy and gain the upper hand. Crystalyn are mostly from the large city named Gymsium where they have a towering gym tower. They are hostile to outsiders and want to be left alone, but as of late they have been traveling around in search of Lumini villages. They slaughter and absorb the energy that they let out when they perish.

Crystalyn come in  a wide range of sizes. Anywhere from 5 foot to up to 8 foot.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Crystal Skin

You can focus yourself to occasionally shrug off injury. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to roll a d12. Add your Constitution modifier to the number rolled and reduce the damage by that total. After you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Language

You can speak and read Common and another.

Alignment

Crystalyn are nobles. They only care for themselves and their people. Some say some or born with defects and are thrown out to die. Those who survive usually seek revenge and are very kind of heart.
