Homebrew Avesmorsu Species Details

These monstrosities live mostly alone or in small groups(3-4 Aves), mostly keeping out of sight due to their very disturbing features. Avesmorsus have no language of their own, rendering them mute at time of creation. As they have been either cursed or hexed have taken their ability to speak in their own voice resorting to mimicry.

Beak, Fangs and Hides

At first sight, Avesmorsus look like any beast or creature from afar, but upon closer inspection you will start seeing diffrences. Like the skull of bird sitting on their neck and the hide that it wears over it's body. They have the ability to blend into the area of choice where the hide they wear make them perfectly fit in.

If attacked by Aves, one thing that will come clear right away are fangs, huge fangs inside the bird's beak making their attack alot more painfull then at first thought.

Avesmorsus are created by universe itself when the hexed/cursed Aarakocra dies and decays. Taking the skull they had as living as their current body and their body then is created from voidic matter that slowly settles into shape of 4 legged creature.

Avesmorsus' creation

"Never have i seen such sight as i did just moments ago, world twisting and turning to create such monstrosity out of old bones and curse that once have been laid upon them.

I have watched as a skull raised from dirt and began to create it's own body from very fabric of this world, the sickening sight still burning my mind as i write this. Who would have thought to make a cursed dead live again amoung us living? Only someone sick and twisted would have done this to the already poor and tortured souls that have been waiting for their freedom for years. They creature however now looks at peace and as if it was anew, reborn to have better life.

Meaning of these creatures is yet to be known... Let's hope they are not as horrific as they seem."
