Homebrew Dragon-Blessed Kobold Species Details
Origin
Dragon-blessed kobolds are, as the name implies, blessed by dragons. When a kobold gains the favor of a dragon, which is very rare, the dragon can turn them into a dragon-blessed kobold. These kobolds take on some of the traits of that dragon. If they are not already an urd, or winged kobold, they sprout wings to fly with. These kobolds also gain the ability to use the dragon's fearsome breath and some of their intrinsic resistance. A kobold can also become a dragon blessed kobold if they pray to Tiamat or Bahamut and have them answer their prayers. If a dragon born or a half dragon mate with a kobold, which is unlikely, the result will also be a dragon-blessed kobold.
Draconic Leadership
Dragon-blessed Kobolds are almost always the Kobold chieftain, and if the Kobolds are serving a dragon they are the tribes emissary to the dragon and help to keep the dragon's wrath off the tribe. Sometimes the Dragon-blessed are expelled from their tribe by the other Kobolds due to sheer jealousy and are forced off the tribe's land.

Breath Weapon
You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic blessing determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic blessing. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Damage Resistance
You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic blessing.
Sunlight Sensitivity
While in sunlight, the kobold has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
