Skilled Hunters & Crafters

Arachids are a solitary people that hardly make contact with others. When running into other races such as humans, Arachids tend to be friendly but cautious. Arachid families are a very rare sight, as they usually only have children near the end of their lives. Arachids are natural hunters and can easily track and trap their prey, hunting groups that have befriended an Arachid say that their trapping skills are unmatched. Arachids are well known for being able to quickly create simple tools, weapons, and shelters using their bodies silk threads. Arachid craftsmen are praised for their sturdy tools, and Arachids that have moved away from their solitary lifestyle and into the cities, quickly become sought out by blacksmiths and other craftsmen. 

Arachnid Ancestors

Arachids are very closely related to spiders and other such arachnids, hence their name. Do to their bug relatives Arachids are a light and dexterous race, usually only weighing around 80-100lbs. Following suit with this odd ancestry, Arachids only stand at an average of 5ft. Their small size and light weight only helps them when hunting and sneaking around in the wilderness. Unlike their relatives, Arachids only have 2 legs, but they do have six arms keeping the similarities to their cousins present. With many arms Arachids have no trouble climbing and building, though the six arms are quite off putting to people who have never seen an Arachid before, among other things. Arachids have 8 eyes though six of them are small with only 2 "main" eyes that are large and a solid glossy black.

Male and Female Arachids are hard to tell apart, but Females are always bigger than Males.

Male names: Warly, Tolu, Yuld, Fimly, Pendlu

Female names: Wanda, Tulo, Yoly, Fidim, Pendlu
