Homebrew Bone Drinker Species Details

Traits:

Tremor Sense: Bone-Drinker can detect movement on the surface or in the ground while in the ground for 60’

Blindsight: Bone-Drinker can see while above ground for 10’ in black and white.

Actions:

Bonedrink: once grappled onto a target, the Bone-Drinker begins to drink the targets bone marrow, dealing 1d12+CON modifier necrotic damage. The Bone-Drinker heals the amount of damage it deals + CON modifier, any leftover healing turns into temp hp.

Vicious Fangs: If grappled to a target, the Bone-Drinker makes another grapple check in order to pin the target, making them prone. Once prone, the bone drinker sinks its fangs into the target and injects a poison that deals 1d6 points of CON damage to the target on the start of its turn, once the targets CON is reduced to 0, they collapse due to their bones turning too brittle to support them and they become a sack of loose flesh. Creatures cannot be poisoned more than one time at a time, Creatures without bones or CON scores are immune to this poison. Otherwise, the creature makes a CON save with a DC of 10+Bone-Drinker’s CON to not be affected by the poison.

Tunnel Attack: if Bone-Drinker attacks from underground, it can attempt to grapple as a free action.

Bonuses:

Improved grab: Bone-Drinkers get a +4 to grapple checks

Unholy Toughness: Bone-Drinker gains bonus hitpoints with (its hit dice x CHA)+CON

Tunnel Tactics: Bone-Drinkers have a +8 stealth while underground. And have a burrow speed of 60’ and a walking speed of 20’

Bone Weapons: Bone-Drinkers cannot hold weapons, instead they have improved unarmed strikes due to their arms being modified, Bone arms deal 1d8+CON physical damage.

Ability score: +2 CON -1 INT

Hit dice: d12
