Homebrew Arachnae Species Details
When Drow women become recognized by Lolth, she grants them a form more fitting for her devotees. They become Arachnae. Whether they are reborn or transformed, Arachnae are held in high respect for those who worship Lolth.
Arachnae Traits
The Arachnae have the ability to conjure spiders and webs. They also have an extra set of limbs hidden in their body: a set of four spider legs.Ability Score Increase
As a being that survives off hiding your form on the surface, you are more amicable (whether you mean it or not). However, having arachnoid features lessens your physical strength.
You gain +2 Charisma and -2 Strength.
Darkvision
Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Ploy of the Spider
Arachnae often lie to surface dwellers and others about being an Arachnae as to not draw attention to themselves. Some even lie to hide from worshippers and those who would believe them to be an avatar of Lolth herself.
Arachnid Body
As a bonus action, you may extend a set of four spider legs from your back. You may move as if under the effect of the Spider Climb spell and gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws. While your legs are out, you have vulnerability to fire damage.
Spider's Bite
As an action, you may make an unarmed strike by biting an enemy. Your bite infused by venom of Lolth, causing you to deal 1d6 poison damage. When hit, the target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or be poisoned for 1 minute.
You have resistance to poison damage and advantage on savons throws against poison.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and Abyssal.
Sunlight Sensitivity
While in sunlight, the arachnae has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
