Homebrew Amvari Species Details

“They are creatures of myth, vampires essentially.” the whispers of a group float to the mans ears.

A soft twitch is all that betrays that he hears their every word

“Is it true that they feed on blood of their enemies?” one asked. “Oh no its much worse, they feed of your very sou—”

“Gentlemen I cant help but think you must be ill informed, im not a nightmare at all ,” the man cut in, standing at 6'3" and grinning, his fangs showing. “You think I haven’t heard those lies before?” a burly fellow retorts " Get lost you mutt" he gives a swift kick to the knee of the man to show his point.

“ Oh pity” was all the large man heard till he found his face buried in the table, the size of this Amvari hiding his strength, “Ta'kar! Stop!.” He tilted his head as he looked up to see another of his kind walk in, older and obviously a superior " You want to add to their superstition?'" with a sigh the man let go of his assailant and walked our " Dakr you know they view us the same as the undead, why stop me? " The elder scrutinizing his young companions face before replying,  “Then maybe show them they are wrong.”

 

Amvari are nimble, agile, and strong. Their ability to feed off the energy around them giving them strength and speed equal to that of a being twice their size. They stand from 5-8 foot, most males being 6 foot or taller and female averaging 5'8"-5'10". They resemble elves in their facial features, pointed ears, longer hair, and defined jawlines. They sport a pair more of canines than humans do and they are sharp like a wolf's. Their skin tone ranges from greyish to tan, and their eyes are golden, crimson red, or a mixture of the two. Natural trackers, their senses are heightened and they are hard to sneak up on. They speak common, infernal, and druidic. They range from Lawful Chaotic to Neutral good, most choosing to make their own brand. They average life span of a Amvari is close to 900 years, with 200-400 still seen as young, they are a hardy breed and rarely fall ill.

Your Intelligence score increases by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 2.

Amvari mature at a much slower same than humans easily living to nearly 900 years old, 200-400 still being seen as young

Tieflings are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Hellish Resistance

You have resistance to fire damage.

Infernal Legacy

You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
