Homebrew Spongemen Species Details

Spongemen come in all shapes, sizes and colors, however they tend to be either square or yellow, but not both, for the only spongemen that was ever recorded to be both is the legendary Spongebob Squarepants.

Not much is known about how Spongemen are spawned, however it is thought that they have familial values, and often have "parents" even though there is no direct biological connection between the two parties. They are thought to be asexual as they are never seen to have very distinct need to reproduce or to find mates. However, they do develop partnerships and friendships exceptionally easily due to their humorous and likable nature.

They often take refuge in fruit houses, or at least crude buildings shaped like fruit from materials found. They often have houses away from each other, however they are usually found in segments of 3, and living near the Triton people, despite the Tritons not being very warm to them.

Spongemen dedicate their existence and praise a demi-god called Spongebob Squarepants, which fueled their society and was a war hero for all the spongemen generations.

Spongemen names have no direct gender related to them, as usually their name is reflected by their appearance in compound words, and start with Sponge more often than not.
