Homebrew Apeling Species Details
This agressive ape-like humanoid race reside in dense forests, living in clans or tribes inside forests. Apelings combine the best and worst traits of humans and primates, along with a few unique traits. They are close to nature but they are destructive and agressive, and many fear them.
Primate or Human?
Apelings are vaguely humanoid-shaped, and has vicious fangs and claws. They have lithe bodies and a short stubby tail much shorter than their primate cousins. They can move swiftly in forests with their long arms and legs.
Born of the Forest
Apelings, whether living in seclusion, clans, or rarely civilization, still carry their life in the forest. They are known to have special nature-like powers, and they carry the Mark of the Forest. It is merely a tradition to inscribe the mark with tree sap, but many believe the mark to have special properties. They also have a hard time getiing used to terrain that differs from forest.
Dark Minds
Apelings are naturally agressive and dark, and they are surprisingly good at hatching plans to eliminate stronger enemies. They use the shadows to attack their enemies, and they constantly fight among themselves too. Their tribes and clans mean just them living together, and they have no loyalty to their tribes or clans.
Apeling Names
Apelings have no special tradition to names, nor do they have any attachments to it.

Your long limbs are uncomfortable when walking, but it helps a lot when you climb up trees. Your base walking speed is 25 feet and you have a climbing speed of 45.
Aggressive
As a bonus action, you can move up to your speed toward an enemy of your choice that you can see or hear. You must end this move closer to the enemy than you started.
Green Thumb
Your hands have magical powers that can quickly grow plants. As your action, you can supply nutrients to a 10-foot square of soil. Plants that have roots in that area will age 5 years for a minute, but do not age within one year of the end of their life spans. They bear up to one years worth of edible crop growth, if able. Magical, dead, and poisonous plants, and plants with stat blocks (creatures), are not effected. If the plant gets affected by the awaken or a similiar effect during the duration, the plant immediately stops aging and gets affected. This is not strong enough to damage a creature in the area.
Once you have used this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
