Homebrew Bjornling Species Details

True wilderness incarnate, nothing strikes fear into an enemy like a Bjornling charging towards them. Due to their immense size they are almost always seen as wild beasts and treated as such by the other races of the world. Rare and secretive, Bjornlings choose a secluded life even from their own kind and hide away in the darkest of woodland realms.

Solidary Hunter

Bjornlings live and die almost always alone. To even see a Bjornling is a rare sight let alone engage with one. Most folk who do see them shy away from the towering mass of fur and muscle. Towering even above Goliaths, Bjornlings are feared throughout the civilised world. Most Bjornlings have black, brown or grey fur that covers their entire body but some variants have been seen with cream and white fur. Not many common creatures could match a Bjornling in sheer strength or brutality when angered. Standing near 12 feet tall they are walking battering rams made flesh and are experts in hunting, fishing and gathering.

Loyalty is for life

If and when a Bjornling does travel with others or mates with another of its kind, it is for life. A Bjornlings sense of loyalty is unwavering once it has been forged and they will give everything they have to protect what they see as their family. This loyalty can lead many Bjornlings down a dark path and are often seen beside fallen adventures who have turned from a heros journey into the realms of evil.
