Homebrew Werewolf Species Details
A werewolf is a savage predator. In its humanoid form, a werewolf has heightened senses, a fiery temper, and a tendency to eat rare meat. Its wolf form is a fearsome predator, but its hybrid form is more terrifying by far--a furred and well-muscled humanoid body topped by a ravening wolf's head. A werewolf can wield weapons in hybrid form, though it prefers to tear foes apart with its powerful claws and bite.
Werewolf Traits
Your feral canine and humanoid heritage gives werewolves the following traitsAbility Score Increase
Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Size
Werewolves are somewhat larger and bulkier than humans, and they range from 5 to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet. While in wolf form, your base speed is 40 feet.
Darkvision
Thanks to your wolf blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Menacing
You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill.
Relentless Endurance
When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Savage Attacks
When you score a critical hit with a melee attack, you can roll one of the damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.
Shapechanger
The werewolf can use its bonus action to polymorph into a wolf-humanoid hybrid, into a wolf, or into its true form which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its AC, are the same in each form. Any Equipment its wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Keen Hearing and Smell
You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and a language of your choosing.
Natural Weapons
You have the following natural weapons with which you are proficient:
Bite (Wolf or Hybrid Form Only). Melee weapon attack: reach 5ft., one target, (1d8 + strength mod) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.
Claws (Hybrid Form Only). Melee weapon attack: reach 5ft., one target, (2d4 + strength mod) slashing damage.
Natural Armor (Wolf and Hybrid Form Only)
While in Wolf or Hybrid form, your tough hide increases your AC by 1.
