Homebrew Tunnel Rats Species Details
Tunnel Rats are a race of smaller humanoids with a few rat-like features. The most human-like have only excess hair on their arm, legs and back as well as sharp claws, but as the groups get more and more connected with the underground, they begin to develop sharper, rodent like teeth. The most feral have extended snouts.
Tunnelers
The Tunnel Rats live in deep maze-like burrows, expanding as the population increases. They rarely appear on the surface, choosing instead to live underground their whole lives. Those who choose to go to the surface are welcome back, but are branded as a surface dweller. Surface dwellers often get discriminated against by those who stay purely in the burrows
Sneaky Rats
The surface dwellers have also gotten a bad name for themselves on the surface. Naturally quick and stealthy, they make excellent theives and assasins.
