Homebrew Lunar Fey Species Details

The Lunar Fey is a being of old magic from a time before time. It fell to the land one day from a place far off. Fey of this type are usually lighthearted tricksters but can become spiteful in a heartbeat. once a Lunar Fey binds its essence to an object or creature the bond becomes permanent. the Lunar fey however rare they may be, are famous for being seen as sentient enchantments for weapons and armor. A Lunar Fey requires access to moonlight to stay youthful. The lunar fey will stay near those it finds to be confident and friendly as to gift them with the soft glow of the moon.

Bond with an object or creature to animate it. bonding will chain the essence of the Fey to the life force/durability of the object or creature. If needed the Fey could change hosts once a week but must do so at full HP. The Fey can exist separately as a sprite but will have an ethereal cord going from host to Fey that can not exceed 100 ft.

Death of Luna

On true death, the Fey explodes into blinding moonlight and travels to the closest object or living creature applying the "brand of Luna". This brand can be transferred and once applied to a weapon or inanimate object will let out a soft wight light that brings a calm sense of rest.
