Homebrew Zoroark Species Details
Zoroarks are a bipedal, gray-brown, fox-like species of Pokémon with crimson and black accents. They have pointed snouts and ears with red insides. They also typically have some red rimming along the eyes and mouth. They have a large, red, voluminous mane with black tips scattered about, which somewhat resembles a very large ponytail. They will often wear a bangle down the length of this hair that separates a mass of the mane from the lower portion. They have a black ruff on the upper body, pointed at the shoulders from which its arms extend, almost like pauldrons of fur. Their upper arms are thin, whereas its lower arms, while still slim, are a bit bulkier. The arms have spiky extensions of fur at the elbows, and they have pointed crimson claws on their hands and feet. A Zoroark's eyes typically have red-rimming around the brow and eyelid, with light blue irises.
Zoroarks can create illusions that are indistinguishable from reality, deluding many people simultaneously. The strongest among them can even create illusory landscapes in the forests where they dwell, so they can hide their territory and protect their dens. While a Zoroark is incapable of physically changing itself into another form; it is able to give its form physicality. A particularly masterful Zoroark can even make convincing illusions of attacks, and these illusions are extremely realistic, enough to fool even cameras and make one believe they're being physically affected, though the illusion does not have any direct physical effect. Zoroarks can sometimes offer their services to ease the burdens of solitude on lonely individuals.
Zoroarks often live in groups, where unity is strong. They are extremely protective of those they care about and will go to any lengths to keep them safe, including risking their own lives. Very often, a Zoroark can hold grudges on those who harm its loved ones. Zoroarks, if they have children, will often hide their Zorua young in their manes to protect and carry them around. There are stories that say Zoroarks punishes those who attempt to catch it by trapping them in an illusion.
