Homebrew Avian Half-Elf Species Details
Newcomers
this race is very new and modern however they are accepted by most other humanoid species.
They have large strong wings, talons and most other features they have are very elvish
Homelands
These Avian Half-Elves mostly live high up in deep forests.
Avian Half-Elf Traits
As you are from Avian descent, you have certain traits in common with your people. Being able to fly at high speed starting at 1st level.Darkvision
You can see in the dark or dimlight up to 60 ft.
Elven descent
You have advantage against spells that would charm you or put you to sleep
Winged defence
Once per turn as a action you can defend yourself with your wings, this give you an extra +3 to your AC however if someone hits you while you are in this state you leave it and cannot enter it again until you finish a short rest. You can only make unarmed strikes and cast up to level 1 spells while in this state but you can leave it on any turn (this consumes your bonus action for that turn)

Aarakocra reach maturity by age 3. Compared to humans, aarakocra don’t usually live longer than 30 years.

Most aarakocra are good and rarely choose sides when it comes to law and chaos. Tribal leaders and warriors might be lawful, while explorers and adventurers might tend toward chaotic.

Your wing are very strong and you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier. If this attack hits you can push the target 10 feet back if the target fails a strength saving throw (DC 14)
