Homebrew Zarn Species Details
The zarn are plant people that live in plains and grassy areas. They can shift into the shape of any creature they see that is large or smaller, but the shapes they take look like a grassy or vegetation version of that creature.their society and interaction with each other occurs under ground at the roots they have. When they want to move their roots are drawn back inside. They communicate with other races through telepathic means and make minimal sounds that are audible to others. Their normal shape is loosely humanoid that stand about 6 ft tall and they have glowing green eyes. They are a mixture of different shades of green. They are mostly druids with some venturing off to create new bands of the species. The young start off as sprouts and are farmed by the elder until they are capable of lifting their roots and moving on their own.
Zarn Traits
Shape shifting into grassy forms of any creature they see up to large size. TelepathyPlant shift
Takes the shape of another creature they see. But they look like a vegetative version of the form. They gain the abilities of the form, strength, speed, flight ect.
Seed blast
Fires a barrage of seeds that do nature damage to a single target within 30 feet doing 1 d6 damage and increases by a d6 every 3 leveles
Water fount
Can locate water with their roots and then release that water above ground for group members to collect and store
Plants wisdom
Due to there collective with each other amongst their roots and connection to other plant life they have a plus 2 to wisdom
Regrowth
Zarn regenerate health at a very fast rate regaining 10% of their hit points per round
Zarns armour
Due to their make up the Zarn cant where armor of any sort so they have developed a natural armor of 14, it can be increased by spell or dexterity modifier
Natural weapons
Creates blades, spikes, teeth or other weapons from their arms and mouth, that do 1 d6 damage plus wisdom modifier, the can also form 2 arms together for 1d12 damage plus wisdom modifire
Vine grapple
The Zarn launches a vine doing 1 d10 damage and the target is grappled until they can break free.
Plants beauty
Aromatic scent increases charisma by 2
