Homebrew Amphibomorph Species Details

An oddity from the Feywild, Amphibomorphs embody the cycle of life. They begin their short lives as eggs from which hatch small tadpole-like creates. Though they cannot yet walk, they learn quickly. Transformation and change is a pillar of their lives and after some time not only do they learn to walk but ultimately to run and leap. Frog-like in appearance, a fully grown Amphibomorph is a rare and truly awesome sight to behold.

Age

Amphibomorphs' lives are strongly controlled by the circle of life. They start out as large eggs and after hatching, they are somewhat helpless but are incredibly fast learners. As they grow and transform they become capable creatures. Smart, wise and agile. When they near the end of their lives, they lay a new egg staring the cycle all over again. The harsh boundaries of this cycle mean that newly born Amphibolets never meet their parents. This cycle takes anywhere for 50 to 65 years.

Alignment

Being deeply connected to the world and having an unquestioning subconscious understanding of life’s cycles, Amphibomorphs tend to have extremely passive and neutral views, not seeing to good or bad in actions and events.

Size

Tadpole Amphimomorphs are rather small and can fit into a pitcher or jug and once transformed into Amphibolets are about 2-3 feet tall. During the first two stages, their size is Small. Once fully grown and standing upright, Amphibomorphs are 6-7 ft tall and their size is Medium.
