Homebrew Amalgamation Skeleton Species Details
Of all the undead abominations I've ever seen, there are a small few that I actually remember well. Ghouls for one I can't stand the various existence of and Skeletons always send a shiver down my spine. But there are two very different skeletons I will never forget. The first of these two I met I had heard rumors of while in town. Most of which was that there was a foul wizard hiding in the woods, and at first I thought they meant me. But when I asked for his appearance I was told he was man-made of bones. Sometime after, I acquired the assistance of a local Paladin to aid me in my search for this necromancer I assumed I would find.
It took us four days to track him, a man down, and when we finally found him, the Paladin fainted. As I approached I saw his tattered purple robes and a large greatsword strapped to his back. When I announced my presence I was meet with a volley of fire and a visage that struck me with fear. I beheld three eye sockets with glowing green lights for eyes. At the top of his head was a crown made of small horns with a black gem just above the third eye socket. After a few minutes of negotiation, we agreed to not kill one another and that introductions were in order.
He introduced himself as Amon the undead hunter. I gave him my name and told him I was a local Druid, who was concerned about some evil Wizard in my forest. He told me he was searching for a skeleton similar to himself and that his name was Rrantok bringer of bloodshed, and he made very clear that Rrantoks destruction was quite paramount. It was many years later that I learned why Amon was so insistent on the destruction of a being that was his own kin.
