Homebrew Soulbound Species Details
“A living suit of armour, is kinna' schtwepid innit?” Vaughn said.
“Silence Vaughn.” Fetch said.
“Augh, meat.” Fetch said.
The Soulbound are built from sets of armour, usually to house a magic user's soul after their mortal body has depleted. The first Soulbound goes by Arito, a warlock who to continue protecting his people sacrificed his body and attached his form to a custom built suit of armour. Souldbound of course requires a soul to be created. Despite being metalic constructs, Soulbound still have the ability to feel pain and other physical senses.
Living Armour
Armored plates form a protective outer shell and reinforced joints make up the interior of a Soulbound. Soulbound often do not wear clothing due to their lack of a need for it, but they do often wear many different accessories or even attach metal ornaments to themselves to express their background, personality and/or ethnicity.
Resting, healing magic, and the Medicine skill all provide the same benefits to Soulbounds that they do to other humanoids as their soul still allows them to count as a living being.
Soulband Personality
The Souldband share the same personality and mind as their original bodies For most of their existence.
A Soulbound's face shows little emotion, but their body language, posture, actions still show as much personality and emotion as other humanoids.
Souldbound's can come in all different sizes, shapes and functions, some may even have multiple limbs to increase effectiveness.
Quirks
The process of Soul transfer is not an easy or flawless one. In fact most who go through the process of Soulbound acquire new mental quirks after the process.
