Homebrew falena (mothfolk) Species Details

elegant and frightening are the words i would use to describe the falena, their tall unique and complex body's some of the falena are elegant, colorful and fluffy but some were very bland  and sharp some lengthy some bulky. i found this race of mothfolk when i was on an expedition with my team we were traveling through ancient ruins in the forest not to far from town when we found the ruins we were amazed how well preserved they were as we made our way inside we started to notice parts of what looked like eggs but they weren't normal eggs they were large and round when i went to take a look at the eggs i was hit by some thing large and before i knew it, it was on top of me all i saw was black and glowing red eyes and just as i reached for my dagger i was lifted of the ground and taken deep into the ruins where the floor drops and into a deep caver we went me and this flying black creature after about 20 minuets of travel we came to the end of the cavern and there it was a giant city moon lit by the giant hole in the roof of the cavern. A glistening city the creature  then took me to what looked like a prison as we flew over the city i saw other creatures just like the one carrying me but different sizes, shapes and colors as we reached the prison i was greeted with two guards they looked like two large moth but they were very bulky and they were about 6 to 7 feet tall the guards garbed my arms ant took me to a cell i was there for three days on the third day i was taken to see their queen when we entered the the judgment halls i was greeted with the sight of beauty and elegance it was the queen standing at 20 feet tall eyes as black as night and fur as white as snow and beautiful white black and gold wings she had four arms and giant antennas as she spoke it sounded like a gentle tone of a mother but the sound boomed through the halls as she said " what brings you into my home and disturbing my young" i explained to her how me and my team were sent to search the ruins and look for any lost artifacts then the black figure then steps next to me turns out he was called the nursery watcher he protects the eggs and larva after many hours of conversation i was released and was pardoned by the queen. i was then greeted by a bright and colorful falen named saibia she took me through the bustling city and showed me many shops and taverns in the city she then takes me the edge of the city and grabs me and lifts me off the ground and takes me back to the ruins leaving me to find my party

DISCOMFORT AND CRYPT
the falen are very tall and length creatures that may cause a feeling of uneasiness due to their multiple arms and heavy cloak like wings that drape over their large but skinny bodys and their compound eyes. some falena also choose not to speak very often due to the clicking noises they make during conversations that usually freak out people.

METAMORPHIC
the falena start out as larva in large broods they then taken care of by a brood watcher where they feed the larva after a course of a 10 month spans the brood watcher begins to prep cocoons for the larva. after a year of development the larva have become moths and are ready to leave the cocoons the brood watcher then helps the new falen into the development chambers where they learn from the brood mother/ queen how to do certain tasks and wait for their wings to fully develop over a course of 2 years their wings are fully developed and they are now ready to be let out into the world

REBIRTH
when a falen dies instead of going to any of the outer plains their soul is brought back to the closest brood where their soul is put into a new larva as the larva grows the larva begins to remember their past life but only in bits and pieces. when the larva reaches the cocoon stage as the body develops more memories return by the end of the cocoon stage they remember who they were and where they were and what brood they where originally from
