Homebrew Aethian Species Details

His sapphire skin glistened like the sky above, his eyes glowing like gems. A few arcane words from his lips turned the thousands we faced to glass. A rarity in this world, few had ever seen an Aethian in person. Even fewer were able to survive a conflict against one. I could now see why.

Aethian bear within their souls the recently forged arcane powers of Aethia. Created to resemble humans but with perfected details, they were created by an ascendant wizard who sought to rule his own plane. Their existence is fresh and therefore a rarity in the material plane. Their visages are that of power and reflect arcane strength and prowess. 

Arcane Creations

Aethian often enter other planes in search of purpose or in completion of their own ambitions. Their creation was seeped in aspiration and it becomes apart of their very nature. They seek to further their own goals and often become the center of major events. 

 

Foreign Curiosities

While being naturally ambitious creatures, Aethian also harbor strong feelings of curiosity and wanderlust. This causes them to travel far and wide across the planes of existence and experience everything they can.

Although preferring to remain unknown observants, if enough intrigue or curiosity is peaked, a Aethian will dig into the mysteries in hope of gathering answers causing themselves to be seen and known.

Arcane Forethought

Due to their arcane creation, the weave has been sown into the Aethian, giving the occasional glimpses into different possibilities. 

These glimpses often take form in dreams or visions. They are not predictions or guaranteed futures but rather a possible outcome or future. This visions come far and in-between. Some Aethian receive only one throughout their lives while others receive several.

As part of fleshing out an Aethian character consider creating a reoccurring dream or vision that your character has.

Bestowed with ambition, Aethian lean toward chaotic alignments, but some believe they are chosen by fate or destiny and take on more lawful alignments.

Aethian have the same range of height and weight as humans.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Aethian eyes were created with perfect sight allowing you to see darkness and magical darkness.
