Homebrew Dhampir Species Details

Sometimes referred to as a half-vampire, the dhampir are a race of mystery and suspicion, even among the most educated of Caldanor. They are the spawn a vampire and a human, either through biting a pregnant woman or the consummation of a union between the two. The result is a child that is neither truly living, nor fully undead. They found themselves torn between their two halves, with some succumbing to their natural bloodthirst, and others being able to hide amongst their human kin without revealing their true nature.

Alignment

Much like the humans they share blood with, dhampir can have a variety of personalities both good and bad. However, the circumstances of their birth can sometimes have an affect on how they view the world. A dawnborn might tend towards good or neutrality thanks to their ability to live among people, whilst a duskborn may lean towards chaos or evil due to their ravenous thirst. However, there can always be exceptions on both sides of the coin.
