Homebrew Coatls Species Details

Coatls are half snake from the bottom and half human from the top. They were created by the deity Anansi. Coatls are extremely playful and mischievous. They love entertaining people with their jokes and their chaos. Coatls have been known to help free people from tyrants in past worlds and to help them find new homes. This species thrives well in different areas according to what their snake portion is. Desert snakes thrive well in desert areas, and so on. Coatls evoke both joy and happiness but also wariness, because on one hand seeing a coatl when captive or bored can be good but Coatls are beings created by Anansi and as such are also very mischievous so people get wary of the chaos that may happen.

Coatls are beings created by the deity Anansi to go out and show others the joys of life and that chaos/trickery can sometimes be a good thing.

Darkvision 60 ft

Coatls were blessed with darkvision by Anansi to help them be able to cause trickery and chaos both in the nighttime and in the daytime, this ability has been passed down. This has allowed many Coatls to sneak into areas at night to help people escape tyrants or to cause chaos.

Coatls can be quick and agile at times, allowing them to get away quickly or to at times slither up brick or stone walls.

Coatls live longer than snakes but have shorter lifespans then humans. They reach physical maturity at 9, which is approximately how long some snakes live. A Coatl typically lives for only 20 years.
