Homebrew Atmoran Species Details

     These early proto-humans were the first men to settle in Faerun. The name of this ancient continent is forgotten. Some believe it does not exist anymore. They refer to themselves as Nordblood. The Atmorans pride themselves on their bravery in battle and their utter dedication to the art of war. From the age of five, a boy was taken from his home and sent to the "Ironschool", where he would be trained as a warrior until he was 20. In the ages long forgotten, kingdoms would pay for their services in battle, for their reputation was without question. They also were honour bound to their employer,  regardless of others trying to persuade them with more payment. This loyalty, and elite training regarded them as the finest warriors that Faerun had ever seen. Atmora was destroyed by the Fallen, over 300 years ago, and the few surviving Atmorans were forced to scatter to the wind. Many formed small settlements, hidden from the world with runes and wards.

     60 years ago, the exile Ysmir Sigmarsson, awoke from his 300 year slumber in an ancient grove dedicated to his Gods. Seeing his city destroyed, Ysmir vowed to return Atmora to it's former glory, unite the broken remnants of the proud warrior race and exact vengeance upon those responsible. Over the next 6 decades, Ysmir regained much of his honour and gathered a small army of elite Huscarls. Though his people were broken, they never forgot their old ways. The ruins of Atmora were reclaimed, from the Draugr infesting it. Claiming the Crown of Atmora, Ysmir was declared High King. Ysmir the Fearless now had to find those responsible for these crimes. Ancestors of renegade Atmorans, and the foul Death Knight Arturas who was responsible for the coup that brought the city and it's people to its knees. Now in his prime, Ysmir gathers Atmorans in their new city,  and as the city is rebuilt, many Huscarls leave in order to rescue relics from ancient barrows of old. Reputation of these warriors is already being told across the land, and their services are already being called to action.
