Homebrew Cursed Firbolg Species Details
Your people share the majority of its personality and habits with regular Firbolgs (see their race page for more details). Due to your curse, the following habits are added:
Insatiable Hunger
Due to the nature of their blood, Cursed Firbolgs suffer from a growing and constant hunger for raw flesh. Due to their still good-hearted natures, this hunger is usually satiated by non-humanoid creatures. Sometimes the curse draws these Firbolgs to desire and crave the flesh of other humanoids.
If this pull becomes overwhelming, then the tribe finds a means of catching an individual deserving of death, and the ritual used to prepare the meat is never torturous. The goodly Firbolg nature can even be seen when these cravings overtake the Cursed Firbolg clans.
If this insatiable hunger is directed towards enemies in combat, an on-looker might just observe an enraged Firbolg - which is a truly unique sight.
Determined Adventurers
While most Firbolg clans rarely send away their members, your clan more readily sends adventurers into the world - usually seeking some lost piece of lore, being hired for our unique skills, or attempting to discover a cure. Beyond those, the regular reasons for a Firbolg leaving their home could apply here as well.
Cursed Firbolgs have a tempered, controlled, and directed ferocity that their kin do not share. More than that, they have a slight connection to occult knowledge and power due to the nature of their curse. As such, it is not uncommon to see a Cursed Firbolg Barbarian or Wizard.
