Homebrew Bright Orc Species Details
When an orc is born with gnome blood, a strange thing occurs. The orc matures and ages at the same rate as other orcs. As an adult, it will have the same height, weight, and build as other orcs. It will even have the same violent and savage instincts as other orcs. But there will be one, very conspicuous difference: its skin will be covered with gemstone particles. If the gnome blood is from a forest gnome, the particles will be emerald. If it is from a deep gnome, they will be ruby. And if it is from a rock gnome, they will be diamond.
These particles cause a bright orc's skin to sparkle and glimmer in even the smallest amount of light. With orcs being the bullies that they are, bright orcs usually end up the butt of many jokes and on the end of many beatings from their fellow tribe members. Occasionally, this leads bright orcs to become outcasts in orc society, or to even leave their tribe in search of acceptance among other races. More often, however, this bullying fuels a bright orc's instinct to grow stronger and dominate those around him.
Bright Orc Traits
Your bright orc character has the following traits.Ability Score Increase
Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age
Bright orcs reach adulthood at age 12 and live up to 50 years.
Alignment
A bright orc that is an outcast in his tribe or leaves his tribe entirely may end up good or neutral instead of evil, but unless other circumstances are involved, this in an uncommon occurrence.
Size
Bright orcs are usually over 6 feet tall and weigh between 230 and 280 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Aggressive
As a bonus action, you can move up to your speed toward an enemy of your choice that you can see or hear. You must end this move closer to the enemy than you started.
Gemstone Skin
Your skin is covered with gemstone particles. These particles cause your skin to sparkle and glimmer in even the smallest amount of light. You have disadvantage on Stealth checks when you're in any amount of light.
As a reaction (when an attack roll hits you) or bonus action, you can quickly focus the gemstone particles in your skin to create a protective layer of them that gives you +2 natural armor to your unarmored AC until the beginning of your next turn. If you use this feature as a reaction after an attack that would hit you, and your new AC is higher than the enemy's attack roll, the attack does not hit you. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all uses of this feature after finishing a short rest.
Gnome Cunning
You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Powerful Build
You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

You can speak, read, and write Common, Gnomish, and Orc.
